Lindy's main goal during a performance is to have people leave the show in a better state than when they walked in. That's where her soul and energy comes from when she's on stage.
"Female lead guitarists are pretty rare as it is, but it's the soulfulness that I want people to walk away remembering," says Lindy. "Playing lead guitar is like having a conversation. No matter where I am - a live show, or Instagram - I aim to converse when I play guitar. I get comments all the time that I'm a lot of fun to watch, or that I have phenominal stage presence. It's funny, because that's the way I communicate. Music is a full body experience, and I want the audience to not just hear it, but experience it with all their senses."
Formerly, Lindy was the lead guitarist for The Killer Queens, the world's only all-female Queen tribute band. Lindy also writes original music for her solo project, and has been known to jump on stage as a special guest to throw down some classic rock songs, including Santana, ZZ Top, Steve Miller, and other popular artists.
Lindy is branching out into vocals and working on her 2017 solo album, which will feature her guitar work and for the first time ever, her voice. "I've always viewed my guitar as if it's my voice," says Day. "So learning how to sing is oddly comforting. It's like I've learned this instrument before".
In between her time with The Killer Queens and her solo work, she has an Instagram following of over 8,000, and has had multiple features in popular Instagram accounts, like Riff Wars and Talented Musicians.
When Lindy first started in New York, she played acoustic guitar but quickly discovered the beauty of classical guitar. She performed in five star restaurants and wineries. In 2011, she published her first classical album, Cordoba Dreams.
After moving to California, Lindy picked up electric lead guitar and co-founded an award winning rock dance band, Ailura Fate in 2013 which specialized in the high end casino and winery circuits. In addition, Lindy plays in nationally-acclaimed Whispering Light, an original jazz rock fusion instrumental group as a female lead guitarist. Lindy appears on their internationally released "One Tribe" album in 2014. She is also a hired lead guitarist for Freak Clinic for their new live album and guitar arrangements.
Occasionally, an alto sax makes an appearance in her show. Lindy started on sax at eight years old and it's just as soulful as her guitar playing. Lindy is available for touring, recording session work, collaborations, and track/song development as well as radio interviews and in-studio performances.
